Learning with Leo and Lily Book Series
The Learning with Leo and Lily book series is designed to help young children have fun learning mathematics. By incorporating math problems directly into the tale, these illustrated short stories make learning mathematics more relatable and exciting. Each story features animal characters in rich nature settings who use math to solve problems in their day–to–day lives. By incorporating mathematics into stories, children learn not only math and how it is used in everyday life but are also able to build their reading skills.
At the end of each story, there is a list of the math facts that were described in the story. There are also worksheets and puzzles to reinforce learning. When children are young, the stories can be read to them by their parents or caregivers, getting them acquainted with numbers and basic math concepts. As the children progress in age, they can build on their understanding by completing the worksheets and puzzles.
Enjoying math at an early age and having a strong basic knowledge makes it easier for children to progress to higher levels of mathematics, setting them up for success in their studies and beyond.
